On July 26, 1964 something very special happened:

Sandra Annette Bullock was born!!!
This happened in Arlington, Virginia. The lucky parents is the German operasinger Helga Meyer and the Alabama-born father Johan Bullock who worked as a civilian at the Pentagon, is an American voice coach. When Sandra was 3 years old, she became a big-sister to Gesine Bullock.
They are both half European and half American, and was raised partly in Germany (Nürnberg).
When Sandra was a little girl, she went with her mother at the opera, and played a character as a gypsy kid in the background. She lived between Nürnberg-Germany and Arlington-Virginia.
Sandra started to study piano-playing early, and she's good (If you want to see her play piano, look at "The Net," where she is playing with a lady who is starring as her mother).

Sandra was a clever student, above average!
When she was 12, her family moved back to Arlington, where she graduated from the Washington-Lee High school in 1982. She took in many school activities on school, like cheerleading-team.
She was voted "The girl most likely to brighten up you day".
After High school, she started higher education at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. There she also did drama.
She managed to get a role in the TV-verson Working girl, co-starring with Nana visitor, but she hated every minute of it, and was glad when it was cancelled.
      Then she moved to Los Angeles, and got a role in the made-for-TV movie The preppie murder (1989) with William Baldwin. She played in many of the smaller budget films, like Fire in the Amazon (1993) and Who do I gotta kill? (1992)
After this, she started to get better roles in bigger movies like The thing called love from 1993, co-starring with the late River Phoenix and Samantha Mathis and as the vanished in The Vanishing (1993). When the director of Demolition man (1993) saw her performance in The Vanishing, he wanted Sandra to starre in Demolition man. After finished her scene for The vanishing, she was off to start work on Demolition man. The part, originally given to Lori Petty, teamed her up with Sylvester Stallone.
      All this helped Sandra to get a part in Jan de Bont's directorial debutfilm, SPEED (1994), witch also starred Keanu Reeves and Dennis Hopper. SPEED was a huge success! She got famous when she starred as Annie it this film, so I don't think she was sorry that she got a part in this good film!!! She stole the show from the larger stars, Keanu Reeves and Dennis Hopper and became star over night, but she missed the show, as she was in Europe, promoting the film.
Sandra had to reject a part in "Batman forever" since she already was signet up for While you where sleeping (1995). This movie was her next hit, when she replaced Demi Moore as Lucy.  This film is also carried by her well-known name. The originally name for this film was "Coma man", but they decided to name it While you where sleeping. This film was a hit too! Sandra proved that she could be funny. And she is!!!
She was nominated to the Golden Globe price for the best actress in a musical or comedy and as a computer expert Angela Bennett in the exiting thriller The net (1995) by Don Padilla.
She appears in the comedy Two if by sea (1996) with the demolition co-star, Dennis Leary.
She also took a supporting role in A time to kill (1996), the John Grisham best-selling novel, co-starring with her good friend Matthew McConaughey ("Contact" and "Larger than life") and Samuel L. Jackson ("Pulp fiction").
      She starred in In love and war (1997), the story about the 26 years old Red Cross nurse Agnes van Kurowsky (Sandra her self!!!) and a 18 years old Ernest Hemningway (Chris O'Donnell). Ernest get hurt, and Agnes must nurse him, and they fall in love with each other. This film is based on Hemingway's roman "A farewell to arms".
The next movie is Speed 2: Cruise control (1997). Speed 2 is about an other mad bomber, but this is on a  Norwegian cruise-ship. Keanu Reeves turned down this role, he needed to be with his band, Dogstar, so Jason Patric ("Rush") replaced Keanu as the new man in her life.

Ms. Bullock is also one of the voices in the animated movie The prince of Egypt (1999). Steven Spielberg just called her and asked: "Sandy, do you want to work with me?".
      Forces of nature (1999) is the newes movie she is starring in. This is a romantic comedy, and I really like this movie!!!
